Weather Discussion: A swath of precipitation will move across the region today. Starting as snow for Columbus, mixing with sleet and freezing rain before changing all over to rain in the mid-morning. Areas north of I-70 will see a changeover to rain later this morning. Total snowfall accumulations generally range anywhere from 2 to 4” before rain mixes in. Areas far north of I-70 will likely be on the higher end of the snowfall totals. Rain will ultimately lower totals, with many areas possibly having no snow left on the ground by tonight, especially in southern Ohio. Rain, however, will continue through the day, being heavy at times. Temperatures will rise to around 40 this afternoon. Flood watches will continue through tomorrow morning, with many locations receiving around 1 to 2” of rainfall including snow melt. Rain will wrap up early tonight, with cloudy skies and patchy drizzle going into tomorrow morning. A mix of sun and clouds tomorrow with highs around 40. Warmer on Friday with more rain arriving late at night, bringing more widespread precipitation over the weekend.

Alerts: Winter Weather Advisory for Central Ohio at midnight until noon Wednesday. Flood Watch in effect until Thursday morning.
