Born and raised in the Midwest, Ashlee Baracy is no stranger to the region’s four seasons and fickle weather. You can catch Ashlee’s Doppler10 forecasts on weekend evenings and her news reports throughout the week.

Prior to joining WBNS-10TV, Ashlee started her career as a traffic and general assignment reporter in her hometown at WDIV in Detroit. Her role quickly evolved to include filling in behind the anchor desk and as a meteorologist. She obtained her Broadcast Meteorology Certification from Mississippi State University and has a Master’s of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University.

Before working in the television news industry, Ashlee was featured on the TLC Reality Series: "Countdown to the Crown" as Miss Michigan 2008 and named a top-ten finalist in the 2009 Miss America Pageant.

Ashlee's biggest passion is community service. Inspired by her parents who are both cancer survivors, she plays active roles with the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and Children’s Miracle Network. Her charitable work has been recognized by many organizations. She was the recipient of the Heroes of Breast Cancer Media Award presented by the Karmanos Cancer Institute, named Young Professional of the Year by the YWCA and received a Quality of Life award from the Miss America Organization.
