Columbus City Schools wins auction for old ECOT headquarters

COLUMBUS -- The old headquarters of the Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow has a new owner.

Columbus City Schools won the auction for the property on the 3700 block of South High Street, according to a spokesperson with the district.

The district will be taking the property for $3,155,500.

There is a plan in the works to use the property for an administrative building.

The Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow, or ECOT, closed in January of 2018 after an expensive legal battle with the state of Ohio.
