Chief Kim Jacobs takes final walk out of Columbus Division of Police headquarters

The Columbus Division of Police chief took her final walk out of headquarters Friday, retiring after 39 years with the division.

The honor guard stood at attention as friends and colleagues gathered to say goodbye to Chief Kim Jacobs.

She was sworn in seven years ago.

Deputy chief Tom Quinlan will take over as interim chief of police while a national search is conducted for a permanent replacement.
